Emanuel County Baptist Churches are continuing the Seamless Summer food delivery program to help provide nutritious food for children throughout Emanuel County while school is out in July.
Each Tuesday, volunteers deliver free food bags to children from birth through 12th grade in communities across the county. The weekly bags include food to help provide breakfast, lunch, and dinner, making it easier for families to keep children nourished during the summer months.
The program is offered at no cost to families and is designed to reduce transportation barriers by bringing food directly to neighborhoods throughout Emanuel County. Check the schedule to see when they will be delivering.
Community members who would like to support the ministry through donations or by volunteering to pack or deliver food bags are encouraged to contact First Baptist Church Swainsboro or visit the church's website for more information fbcswainsboro.org/seamless_summer.
