Oink, cluck, baa, and moo was the theme of a birthday party honoring Luke Scarboro at his home on Stingray Rd. in Swainsboro Saturday, September 17. The birthday boy turned two on September 10. Luke is the son of Scrap and Heather Scarboro.

He was dressed for the occasion in a white shirt with a farm animal scene on the front with his name in red and navy blue shorts. Other family members also wore farm animal scene shirts.

Guests enjoyed the pool and a water trampoline slide. The younger guests enjoyed the swing set and a playhouse. Family and friends were invited inside the home for grilled hamburgers and hotdogs cooked by the grill master, Scrap. The refreshment table held an assortment of finger foods with the farm animal theme carried out in the tableware. Black and white balloons resembling dairy cows filled the room.

Luke’s eye-catching cake was a two-tier white buttercream creation made by Janie Williamson of Swainsboro. Each tier featured farm animals in fondant icing and each layer was made of delicious chocolate. Atop the top layer was a red barn with the number two across the barn doors.

Luke received many fun and educational toys. He was assisted by his eight-year-old sister Lainey and six-year-old sister Leanna. His favorite gift was a John Deere tractor and trailer given to him by his paternal grandmother, Wanda Scarboro.

Maternal grandparents are Kris (Peepaw) and Shelia (Meme) Porcel of Swainsboro and paternal grandparents are Wanda (LuLu) and the late Wayne Scarboro of Swainsboro.
