Ms. Sarah L. Mason Shivers, 77, passed away February 13, 2021 in Augusta with her daughters, her sister, and her brother by her side. Graveside services were held February 20, at 11 a.m. in the Swainsboro City Cemetery.
Mrs. Shivers was born October 15, 1943, as the first child to Cleo and Minnie Mason. She was a dedicated member of Mill Groves Baptist Church in Sardis. Ms. Shivers is preceded in death by five children.
Survivors include daughters, Mrs. Lucy Mason Kendrick (Willie), Tracy L. Shivers, and Stacy D. Shivers, all of Columbus; sons, Dennis Mason and Ben Mason, both of Swainsboro; sons, Dennis Mason and Ben Mason, both of Swainsboro; 14 grandchildren; 23 great grandchildren; siblings, J.W. Mason (Tina) & Isaiah Mason of Swainsboro, James Mason (Theresa) of Waynesboro, Robert Mason (Lillian) & Larry Mason of Dublin; sisters, Lela M. Mason of Waynesboro, Eunice Barnes of Augusta, Jane Mason of Sardis; a host of nieces, nephews, and caregivers; close friends, Paula Deck-Bass, Mary Ann Foster, Darlene Gamble, Theresa Lassiter, & Nunny Turner.
Mosley’s Funeral Home of Swainsboro, Georgia was in charge of arrangements.
