Mrs. Sara Medlock Faircloth, age 84, of Twin City, passed away Monday, February 23, 2026, at her son’s residence in Mt. Vernon. Funeral services were held Thursday, February 26, at 11 a.m. at Twin City First Baptist Church with Reverend Rick Faircloth officiating, assisted by Dr. Stuart Moody. Family received friends one hour prior to the service. Interment followed in Swainsboro City Cemetery.

Pallbearers were Derek Faircloth, Joseph Gibson, Jacob Norton, Tommy Fincher, Jim Mercer, and Peyton Mercer.

Sara was born October 2, 1941, in Swainsboro, to the late George Medlock and Nevada Beasley Medlock. She was raised with strong values and a deep understanding of hard work, lessons that shaped her character and guided her throughout her life. Sara began her career as a school secretary at ECI, where she was known for her reliability and warm spirit. She later worked as an administrative assistant for the Georgia Cooperative Extension Service. In each role, Sara demonstrated dedication, professionalism, and quiet strength. She and her husband, Carl, built a life centered on love and family. Sara’s greatest pride and joy were her children — her sons, Rick and Kevin, and her daughter, Trina. In time, she devoted herself fully to her home and family, embracing her role as a housewife with love and commitment. Sara was also blessed with several grandchildren and great-grandchildren, who brought her immense happiness. Sara Medlock Faircloth will be remembered for her hardworking nature, her devotion to her family, and the steady strength she carried throughout her life. Her legacy lives on in the family she loved so dearly. Mrs. Faircloth is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Carl Faircloth; sister, Nell Patron; and brother, Henry Medlock.

Survivors include her sons, Rick Faircloth (Beverly) of Mt. Vernon and Kevin Faircloth (Carol) of Glenville; daughter, Trina Gibson of Swainsboro; grandchildren, Derek Faircloth (Chantele), Lauren Norton (Jacob), Kristopher Faircloth (Pam) and Joseph Gibson; eight great-grandchildren; and many friends.

Chapman Funeral Home of Swainsboro was in charge of arrangements.
