Rodney Michael Johnson, 52, of Midville, passed away Monday, January 24, 2022. A memorial service will be held at 12 p.m. on June 4, at Friendship Farms.
Rodney was born February 24, 1969, to Michael Johnson and Gail Claxton Johnson. He was a graduate of The Georgia Academy for the Blind in Macon. Rodney loved talking on his CB radio under the call name “Hot Rod”. He was an avid fox hunter and loved his dogs and going to horse shows. Rodney loved his Lord and Savior and was a member of Mt. Olivet Baptist Church in Garfield. Mr. Johnson is preceded in death by his father; paternal grandparents, Marvin Johnson and Mary Laura Palmer; and maternal grandparents, Clifford and Juanita Claxton.
Survivors include his mother, Gail C. Johnson of Midville; brother and best friend, Brett Johnson of Midville; uncles, aunts, cousins, and many friends.
