Robert “Bobby” Allen Seamans, age 79, of Swainsboro, passed away Friday, May 1, 2026, at Doctors Hospital in Augusta. Funeral services will be held Saturday, May 9, at 11 a.m. in the Chapel of Chapman Funeral Home with Mr. Darryl Gray officiating and the eulogy by Mr. Robert Seamans, Jr. Interment will follow in the Swainsboro City Cemetery. Family will receive friends Friday, May 8, from 6 to 8 p.m. at Chapman Funeral Home.
Bobby’s grandsons will be serving as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers will include members of Masonic Lodge #244, the local Shrine Club, and the Kiwanis Club.
Bobby was born on October 19, 1946, in Swainsboro to the late Louise Allen Daniels. He was a man who believed in showing up for others and making his community a better place. Bobby proudly served his country as a member of the National Guard for many years. He was also a devoted member of the Masonic Lodge, the Shriners Club, and the Kiwanis Club, where he built lasting friendships and dedicated countless hours to service. Bobby found purpose in service, both to his country and to his community, and was always willing to lend a helping hand to those in need. Mr. Seamans is preceded in death by his mother; father, Floyd Allen; stepfather, John Daniels; son at heart, Al Moore; and granddaughter, Kayle Seamans.
Mr. Seamans is survived by his children, Robert Seamans, Jr. (Lynn), Rebecca Byrd (Michael), Lori Fox (Justin) and Matthew Seamans (Chelsea); loving companion, Beverly “Jean” Moore; daughter at heart, Stephanie Watkins (Bryan); daughter-in-law at heart, Stacey Moore; 24 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren with one on the way; two great-great-grandchildren; many dear family and friends.
