The Swainsboro Exchange Club held its regular meeting on Tuesday, November 11, 2025, featuring guest speaker Terry Reynolds, president of the Wounded Warriors Retreat.
Reynolds provided an informative and inspiring update on the organization's mission and its ongoing efforts to support wounded veterans.
Reynolds shared that the Wounded Warriors Retreat has recently purchased 58.9 acres in Emanuel County, a property that includes a 12-acre fishing pond. Plans are underway to construct a 9,000-square-foot lodge capable of accommodating up to 40 guests, along with a rifle and skeet shooting facility. In addition to the main property, the organization also has access to approximately 1,200 acres in Emanuel County, 200 acres in Jenkins County, and 900 acres in Burke County-land that will be used to provide hunting and fishing opportunities for wounded warriors.
To help bring this vision to life, the Wounded Warriors Retreat is seeking donations. Community support will allow the organization to enhance the lives of veterans, reminding them that they are neither alone nor forgotten.
