On Monday, Dec. 28, a senate rally was held at the Swainsboro Stockyard. The event’s featured speakers included Representative Butch Parrish, Senator Billy Hickman, United State Secretary of Agriculture Sonny Perdue, Georgia Public Service Commission Lauren “Bubba” McDonald Jr. and Georgia Commissioner of Agriculture Gary Black, who were all present to promote and support republican senator candidates, David Perdue and Kelly Loeffler.

“Gary Black and I are traveling all around rural Georgia helping people understand just how important this election is,” said Secretary Perdue during a private interview. “These two U.S. Senate races are really the firewall between the America we know and the America that may be if we lose these races – we could be the next Venezuela. That’s how it happens, one vote at a time. That’s why we’re here - to encourage people to vote early and for everyone to encourage their friends to vote.”
Secretary Perdue continued: “If you really read what the other party stands for, generally, not just these two, I feel as if they’ve gone and found two actors with a lot of money behind them and have tried to create them into something that they’re not; but, if you read what they want - to get rid of the filibuster and potentially pack the Supreme Court, open borders, raising taxes, the government healthcare system wanting to take away private healthcare - these are the things that they already have said they’re going to do. That’s what we’re facing. That’s what these folks here that look really pretty and proper on television – they’re just actors. You can make anyone look good, but if you look behind them and read what they say and stand for, they don’t believe in the American way. I want to emphasize to people that they are the real firewall in America. Our vote is so precious. That’s what we all have is liberty as free Americans to vote, and I want to challenge everyone to use that privilege. It’s an honor to vote. I want the people of America to vote those convictions of their hearts to help win Georgia and save America from socialism. We’re going to rural Georgia because that’s the real Georgia.”

The republican rally traveled to Commerce Monday night, and from there traveled to Madison and Franklin counties, then on to White and Habersham counties. On Tuesday, a statewide poultry call was held with the poultry industry to further promote the republican campaign.
