State Representative Butch Parrish (R–Swainsboro) announced that he will seek re-election to the Georgia House of Representatives.
“When you see firsthand how the work we do as citizen legislators can ease burdens and empower Georgians, it renews your commitment to serve,” Parrish said. “Our district and our state are special places to live and raise a family, and I remain fully committed to advancing the conservative values and policies that keep this community strong.”
Butch Parrish currently serves as Chairman of the critical Rules Committee and the Special Committee on Healthcare. He is also a member of the Appropriations, Banks and Banking, Economic Development and Tourism, Health, Human Relations and Aging, and Public and Community Health Committees.
“Chairman Parrish brings an abundance of wisdom, expertise, and wit to his many roles as a state legislator,” says Speaker of the House Jon Burns. “He is an unwavering champion for increasing access to quality, affordable healthcare for our neighbors and any number of other issues that are critical to the future of our state. His colleagues rely on his institutional strength in our policy work, but I know a secret about Butch Parrish. He loves to legislate, but he loves his district and his constituents more. It’s an honor to serve this region of the state with him.”
House District 158 includes all of Emanuel, Candler, and Treutlen counties and a portion of Bulloch County.
