Please join us on Sunday, February 8, 2026, at 11a.m. during our worship service for our Annual Black History Program. This year's theme is A Century of Black History Commemorations.
In 1926, the father of Black History, Dr. Carter G. Woodson, launched the celebration of Negro History week, the precursor of Black History Month.
We will acknowledge "Black Brilliance" from Piney Grove Missionary Baptist Church by highlighting church and community members who were ‘firsts’ in their chosen occupations. Honorees are Joanne Brinson, Amanda Brown, Na'Quella Davis, Robert Bernard Gunter, Elizabeth Green Harrison, Dr. George E. Harrison, Dr. Elvira Green Jackson, Marion Mills and Rev. Michael Thomas, Pastor.
Dinner will be served.
