Pineland announces pumpkin patch contest for local youth

Pineland Telephone Cooperative encourages local youth 12-years-old and younger to get creative and participate in building a Pineland Pumpkin Patch. Using crayons, markers, colored pencils, etc., children can decorate Pineland’s paper pumpkins as their imaginations see fit. Pumpkns will be displayed in the front windows of Pineland’s Metter office. On October 30, pumpkins will be divided into three age groups for a winning name to be drawn from each group. Each winner will receive a $25 gift certificate to McDonald’s.

To participate, pick up an entry form at Pineland’s Metter of Swainsboro office and return the completed form and decorated pumpkin by closing business hours October 29. Children do not have to be in a household with Pineland services to enter.
