Well here we are, coming in the Christmas Season. It's a time of joy and jubilation for many and a time of grief, disappointment and loneliness for others. But let me reassure you there is Peace on Earth. So let's celebrate the birth of Jesus Christ.
The angel appeared to the Sheppard’s while they were watching their flock at night. He announced the birth of Jesus to them. In his salutation he announced "...on Earth peace and good will toward all men.."(Luke 2:14). Yes, Jesus came to bring peace and good will to all.
Isaiah 26:3 tells us that he will keep him in perfect peace whose mind is stayed on him.
So don't keep your mind on what's happening in this world nor do you keep your mind on your situations and circumstances but keep your mind on the Lord.
For Philippians 4:19 tells us, "But my God shall supply all your need according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus." Just keep your mind on him and he will take care of you and your situations. He will keep you in perfect peace.
There is an enemy out there and he comes to steal, kill and destroy. But Jesus come so you will have abundant life (John 10:10) If you read a little farther in St John chapter fourteen, Jesus plainly tells us, no to let our hearts be troubled. He went on to say, "Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you: not as the world gives, give I unto. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid." (John 14:27)
When you have situations you cannot understand you may never find a satisfying answer but I am here to tell you that God will give you peace. Philippians 4:7 says it this way, " And the peace of God, which passes understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Jesus Christ".
I'm a living witness. You will never have all the understanding but he will give you peace. Jesus left it for you so receive him and his peace today. Yes, there is Peace on Earth.
