Paul Edward Turner, age 73, peacefully transitioned from this earthly life into eternal rest on Monday, May 11, 2026. A Celebration in his honor was held Saturday, May 23, at 1 p.m. at Ohoopee Grove Baptist Church with Pastor Alan Moss, Sr. officiating and Pastor Willie Harden presiding. Interment followed in the Swainsboro Cemetery.
Paul was born February 10, 1953, in Emanuel County, to the late Georgia Mae Smith Turner and George Turner, Sr. He graduated from Swainsboro High School in 1971. In Paul’s early years, he worked faithfully alongside his father on the family farm before moving to Atlanta to continue pursuing greater opportunities and further his education. He was a hardworking and determined man who purchased a tow truck and established his own towing business which he successfully operated for many years before retiring. Mr. Turner is preceded in death by his parents; and four brothers.
Mr. Turner leaves to cherish his memories with his devoted wife of 27 years, Carolyn Turner; son, Teko Turner of Atlanta; daughter, Christina Pollard; granddaughter, China Andeson; two great-grandchildren; nine sisters; and a host of extended family and friends.
Mosley’s Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
