The Swainsboro Rotary club met Monday, March 30, at the Rustic Grill during the noon hour. The meeting was called to order, and the club had the invocation, pledge and 4-way test, and discussed the upcoming Pine Tree Festival beauty pageant details. Carmen Tanner introduced the speakers for the meeting, John Wilder Page, Youth pastor of Kite First Baptist church and Amanda Harry, Chairman at the Lighthouse Outreach of Kite First Baptist Church. The lighthouse outreach ministry provides clothing and food for families in need. During Hurricane Helene, they provided many meals for families that were without electricity and also others in the area. Donations can be made to the Lighthouse Outreach ministry, and they also take clothing donations and are really needing men’s and children’s clothing. The meeting was adjourned after their presentation.
