The highly anticipated visit from Santa on December 4 was a highlight of the 18th Annual Downtown Swainsboro Christmas Parade. Despite less-than-perfect weather, our community came together to create a beautiful, lighted parade that drew visitors from surrounding areas to our charming downtown.
Following the parade, Santa took time to listen to children’s Christmas wishes while parents captured special moments through photos of their little ones. The festive spirit and strong community support made the evening truly unforgettable.
The top three floats were recognized as follows:
• 1st Place: One Moore Tree Service
• 2nd Place: Emanuel Medical Center
• 3rd Place: Oaky Grove Church
The Downtown Development Authority extends a heartfelt thank you to everyone who helped make this year’s Christmas celebration such a success — from participants and volunteers to spectators who came out to support the event.
Even though the weather wasn’t perfect, our parade certainly was. Thank you to everyone who showed up, whether you marched in the parade or cheered from the sidelines.
