Oak Chapel Homecoming

Posted

The first Sunday in November is always a special time for Oak Chapel Baptist Church. It’s time for the annual Homecoming service. On Sunday, Nov. 2, BASIK Truth of Wrightsville will open up Homecoming activities with a special song service. The Rev. Jamie Archer, Senior Pastor of Cumming Baptist Church, will bring the morning message.

Brother Archer was born and raised in Emanuel County. It was there that he was led to faith in Christ by the faithful witness of his grandmother. Sensing God’s call to preach the Word, he entered the Gospel ministry just after graduating high school in 1993. Since that time, he has served three Southern Baptist Churches in Florida and Georgia before becoming pastor at Cumming Baptist in August of 2018. Pastor Jamie and his wife Ashley are parents of four sons. He holds a Bachelor of Arts in Theology from the Baptist College in Florida, a Master of Divinity from Liberty University, and a Doctor of Ministry, also from Liberty.

Pastor Tommy Henry invites everyone to join in the homecoming service and stay for the luncheon.
