Nine sentenced in Superior Court

The following occurred during the Emanuel County Superior Court January 2023 term:

Crystal Akridge, repeat offender, negotiated a guilty plea on one count possession of meth. She was fined $50 with 3 years probation; one count possession of suboxone 3 years probation; one count crossing guard lines with contraband with 5 years probation. Defendant is sentenced to a total of 5 years to be served on probation. The Court sentences the defendant as a recidivist under O.C.G.A. § 17-10-7(a).

Crystal Akridge, repeat offender, negotiated a guilty plea on one count burglary in the first degree with 20 years, 3 years to serve, Susp. RSAT & rehab aftercare. Defendant is sentenced for a total of 20 years, with the first 3 years to be served in confinement and the remainder to be served on probation. The Court sentences the defendant as a recidivist under O.C.G.A. § 17-10-7(a).

RSAT & rehab aftercare; aggravated assault with 20 years probation; possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony with 5 years probation; possession of firearm by a convicted felon with 10 years probation. Defendant is sentenced to a total of 25 years, with the first 3 years to be served in confinement and the remainder to be served on probation. The Court sentences the defendant as a recidivist under O.C.G.A. § 17-10-7(a).

Jody Clifton, repeat offender, negotiated a guilty plea for possession of meth. He was fined $50 with 8 years probation, RSAT susp. For rehab; one count possession of drug related objects with 12 months probation. Defendant is sentenced to a total of 8 years to be served on probation. The Court sentences the defendant as a recidivist under O.C.G.A. § 17-10-7(c).

Jody Clifton, repeat offender, negotiated a guilty plea for possession of meth w/intent. He was fined $50 with 30 years probation, Subj. RSAT susp. for rehab. Defendant is sentenced to a total of 30 years to be served on probation. The Court sentences the defendant as a recidivist under O.C.G.A. § 17-10-7(c).

Javec Antoine King negotiated a guilty-alford plea for identity fraud. He was fined $50 with 10 years to serve, 3 years suspended upon rehab; possession of heroin with three years to probation. Defendant is sentenced to a total of 10 years, with the first 3 years susp. To be served in confinement and the remainder to be served on probation. The above sentence may be served on probation provided the defendant shall comply with the conditions of probation imposed by the court as part of his sentence. Upon service of 3 years suspended, the remainder of the sentence may be served on probation; PROVIDED, that the defendant shall comply with the conditions of probation imposed by the Court as part of this sentence.

Joshua Oshie Pryor, repeat offender, negotiated a guilty-alford plea for armed robbery (robbery). He was fined $100 with 20 years. 3 years to serve, bal. prob.; aggravated assault with 20 years, 3 years to serve, bal. prob.; possession of firearm during the commission of a felony with 5 years probation; possession of firearm by convicted felon with 10 years probation. Defendant is sentenced to a total of 35 years, with the first 3 years to be served in confinement and the remainder to be served on probation. Upon service of 3 years, the remainder of the sentence may be served on probation; PROVIDED, that the defendant shall comply with the conditions of probation imposed by the Court as part of this sentence. The court sentences the defendant as a recidivist under O.C.G.A. § 17-10-7(a).

Jason Glenn Wilkerson negotiated a guilty-alford plea for burglary 2nd degree. He was fined $50 with five years probation; possession of a tool for the commission of a crime with five years to probation. Defendant is sentenced to a total of 5 years. To be served on probation. Defendant is to receive credit for time served in custody as determined by the custodian.

Keshon Woods negotiated a guilty-alford plea for theft by taking. He was sentenced to 12 months to serve. Defendant is sentenced to a total of 12 months. Defendant is to receive credit for time served in custody from May 10, 2022.

Jamal Allen negotiated a guilty-alford plea for possession of a firearm by a convicted felon. He was fined $50 with 10 years, 22 months in the Co. Jail, bal. prob. Defendant is sentenced to a total of 10 years, with the first 22 months to be served in confinement and the remainder to be served on probation. Defendant is to receive credit for time served in custody from July 20, 2021.

Johnny Lee Williams negotiated a guilty-alford plea for criminal attempt to commit rape. He was fined $50 with 30 years, 25 years to serve, bal. prob; robbery (dismissed); rape with 25 years to serve, followed by life probation. Defendant is sentenced to a total of 30 years, with the first 25 years to be served in confinement and the remainder to be served on probation. The defendant is to receive credit for time served in custody as determined by the custodian. Upon service of 25 years, the remainder of the sentence may be served on probation; PROVIDED, that the defendant shall comply with the conditions of probation imposed by the Court as part of this sentence.

Ashley Hood negotiated a guilty-alford plea for involvement w/motor vehicle having identification removed. He was fined $50 with 5 years probation, completion of DRC. Defendant is sentenced to a total of 5 years to be served on probation.
