LaRose was a graduate of Swainsboro High School and a member of First Baptist Church of Swainsboro. During their wonderful years together, Herbert and LaRose lived in Swainsboro, Augusta and Kemp, and while Kemp was ultimately home, her time in Augusta always held a special place in her heart. LaRose loved being one of four sisters and the “Claxton girls” maintain a special bond. She was a devoted and loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, and loved making memories with her family. LaRose has been known to spoil a grand/great-grandkid or two (and even pets)! She loved traveling to the Smoky Mountains most of all, but really enjoyed seeing new places whenever she had the chance. LaRose had a playful soul and was able to win many board games and putt-putt golf rounds while making memories with her family and friends. Mrs. Gunn is preceded in death by her parents; and husband, Herbert Gunn.
