Emanuel County Tax Commissioner Jessica Underwood Moran traveled to the Georgia State Capitol on Wednesday, March 11, to meet with state lawmakers and discuss issues affecting local governments. The visit was part of an event that brought elected officials from across the state to Atlanta to connect directly with legislators, share concerns about pending legislation and advocate for needs of their communities. During the trip, Moran met with Representative Butch Parrish to talk about matters impacting Emanuel County.
“As Tax Commissioner for Emanuel County, I appreciate the opportunity to visit the Georgia State Capitol and discuss issues impacting our county with Representative Parrish. It’s always good to work together with state leaders, including Governor Brian Kemp, to support local communities.” Moran said opportunities like the visit allow local officials to strengthen relationships with state leaders while ensuring the voices of Emanuel County residents are represented in discussions about policies and legislation.
