Each year, the Swainsboro Police Department hosts a "find a rock" Treasure Hunt for children ages 5-12. Each officer hides a painted rock inside the city limits of Swainsboro with his or her badge number inscribed on it and posts up to three clues through the agency Facebook page. A prize is given for every found treasure, and an iPad is provided by Vyve Broadband as the grand prize.
The 2026 grand prize winner is Aubrey Mincey, and she was presented the iPad by Mrs. Dottie Durden, Chief Ashley Riner and City Council Woman Mrs. Lafonda Kelly.
As the annual Treasure Hunt comes to an end for 2026, SPD would like to thank everyone that participated and congratulates all the winners.
