DEA DONATES TO SOUTHERN SOULS RESCUE ORGANIZATION

Each class at DEA in grades 5-12 was responsible for a community project. The 7th grade class chose to help the Southern Souls Rescue Organization, which was founded in June 2010 by Nancy Hill Kay (formerly of Swainsboro) and Kathy Paskvan. The class collected wet and dry dog food, wet and dry cat food, bedding, toys collars, leashes, treats, and shampoo, and also sent a check for $150 to the vet the organization uses to help pay for vaccinations for the shelter’s animals.
