AT VFW MEETING
“Talking over district and state VFW business at the local meeting were Ogie Hayes, Norwood Stephens, W. Ray Giles, Brooks Cowart, James Sloppy Floyd, Bob Causey, and Albert Hall. The joint meeting with Ladies Auxiliary was hosted by Post 5745. Post Commander Cowart was in charge of the meeting.
VFW GETTING FLAG
Russell Collins, president, Chapter 1186 Woodmen of the World, and the Rev. H.E. Keel, WOW Field Rep., presented the American Flag to Moore Lanier Post 5745, Veterans of Foreign Wars. Accepting the gift is Woodrow Smith, VFW quartermaster. VFW Post Commander Brooks Cowart observed the presentation. The was presented during a regular meeting of the VFW chapter Aug. 21 in the post house.
