‘FAIREST AT THE FAIR’
Miss Holly Jones of Metter was chosen by judges as “fairest at the fair” and holder of the Miss Emanuel County Fair Queen title. Miss Jones was a junior at DEA, and the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. CD Jones of Metter.
CAPTAIN LAWSON
Al Lawson was transferred to the 75th Engineering Detachment, Georgia National Guard, Fort Stewart. A captain, he served as construction engineer of the detachment. He was a former company commander of the Swainsboro and Statesboro National Guard units. A member of the City Council of Swainsboro.
