A FLAG TO WAVE
Exchange Club members, Chuck Wofford, Marion Shaw, Ray Woods, and Gary Mason, presented American flags to Swainsboro Elementary School students, LaShawn Coleman and Willie Ricks, students in Mrs. Carolyn Derden’s class, in conjunction with their study of patriotism and the Pledge of Allegiance. The presentation of the “Give a Kid a Flag to Wave” program sponsored by National Exchange Club. Shaw, Mason, Woods, and Wofford, along with John Terwilliger, also distributed some 1,800 flags to children during the Emanuel County Pine Tree Festival. 

REAL WESTERNERS
Among sixth grade students at Emanuel County Institute, Twin City, performing the musical, How the West Was Really Won by Grace Hawthorne and John F. Wilson were Gene Creech, Towanna Burke, Billy Jackson, Mace Henry, Chris Thompson, and Lacie Atkinson. The production was held Wednesday, May 22.
