MR. WALLER DONATES PROPERTY

Swainsboro Mayor R.J. Waller, Jr. donated a portion of property to Southside Baptist Church. The property valued at appx. $40,000 includes three lakes. It covers 39 acres and also includes picnic areas and a community area. The lakes are Lake Luck, Teresa, and Carolyn. The Rev. Earl Warnock, pastor of Southside Baptist Church, Swainsboro, and John A. Lawson, church deacon, thank J.R. Waller, Jr. of Swainsboro for the portion of land and a number of lakes he donated to Southside. The property is in the Lake Luck area of the city.

AN OLD FAVORITE

Cheryl shows Mrs. Louise Cowart, Extension Home Economist, her oldest bookbook. Recipes in the book were written when the wood-burning range was in its heyday, but Cheryl’s grandmother used the book to file favorite clippings of recipes designed for electric cooking.
