DONATING BRICKS

Emanuel County financial institutions being represented here in buying a brick for the planned cultural arts center are, from left: Spivey State Bank, Wilbur Stephens, Citizens Bank, Alan Jones; Central Bank, Jim Livingston; Durden Bank Co., Dixon Durden; and First Federal Savings and Loan Assn., Reginald Birchman. Each institution recently donated $1000 “brick“ to Mrs. Thelma Kilpatrick, chairman of the cultural center committee, for the purchase of the Nazarene church.
