EMANUEL VETERANS CENTER COOKS FOR TROOPS

The 80th Engineers (Sappers) Unit of the Georgia National Guard in Swainsboro held their Annual Christmas Drill on Dec. 3 and 4. Kids were entertained by Santa Claus and goodies were donated by the local Walgreens store. Members of the local American Legion Post #103 and Veterans of Foreign Wars #5745 had the opportunity to cook for the soldiers and their families. While deployed in Afghanistan, the Unit suffered two casualties and others were wounded. The Emanuel Veterans Center was proud to assist their comrades and families. They also proudly support the Wounded Warrior Project.
