Melanie Anne Martin, age 64, passed away unexpectedly on October 5, 2023, at Memorial Health Meadows in Vidalia. A Celebration of Life and Memorial Service will take place in Swainsboro shortly after the new year. Specific details are incomplete at this time and will be announced later by Tomlinson Funeral Home & Crematory.
Melanie was born May 29, 1959, in Tucson, AZ, to the late Maurice and Carolyn Martin. She excelled in academics and later went on to become an elementary school teacher. Melanie identified as a fun-spirited extrovert who never met a stranger. She loved the beach, NASCAR, UGA, and Lynyrd Skynyrd. Her friends and family are saddened by her sudden death. Ms. Martin is preceded in death by her parents.
Ms. Martin is survived by her son, Dustin (Brittany); granddaughters, Emory and Amelia; brother, Dale Martin (Renee) and their children.
