“Upon moving to Swainsboro, I immediately fell in love with this community that welcomed my family with open arms. I have served this community in many different capacities and my belief in service runs to my core,’ said Farley. “My time with Swainsboro Fire Department has also given me the opportunity to interact with the community on a more personal level by responding and counseling community members in their times of need, assisting in educational events related to fire safety, and being an ongoing presence at many community events. I am very proud of my time with the fire department and will continue to serve if elected as your County Commissioner for District 1.”

During Farley’s time with the Swainsboro Jaycees, he has assisted with major community projects including Toys for Tots/Empty Stocking Fund, fishing rodeo, Freedom Fest and Scare at the Fair.

“I am also very supportive of the transformational power of local sports on area children and have served as a coach for both little league football and soccer,” stated Farley.

During his time with the Swainsboro Jaycees, he served in multiple roles within the local, state and national organizations from Community Vice President, Membership Vice President and President (2018) locally; to Membership Vice President (2019) and the 90th President (2020) of the Georgia Jaycees at the state level; to Program Manager, Diversity Council Member, National Vice President (2022), and Co-Membership Development Director (2023) for JCI USA at the national level. Throughout his career of service, he has gained skills which include planning, collaboration, training, economic development, effective communication and leadership.

According to Farley, he is passionate about being an example of service to his family and instilling a love of community in each of them. He is supportive and involved with all their extracurricular activities which span a broad spectrum of sports, the arts, and service organizations.

“I look forward to being a listening ear for the whole community and throughout my career with the Swainsboro Fire Department and the Jaycees, I have acquired the skills that I believe can lead our community forward for you,” said Farley in closing.
