The City of Swainsboro presented a check to the Emanuel County Medical Center last Friday for specialized PPE suits for ICU workers treating Covid 19 patients. EMS Director Courtney Terwilliger explained that the long, tedious hours experienced by nurses working in protective suits can be overwhelming at times. The new suits are equipped to provide conditioned air ventilation making the long hours a little more comfortable.  In presenting the check Mayor Charles Schwabe reminded everyone of the sacrifice health care workers are making every day, “On behalf of the folks in the city, I want to thank everyone here at the hospital and all the people who are fighting this virus throughout this community, and I hope these suits make their jobs a little bit easier.”
