The Brier Creek Chapter held its monthly meeting, Thursday night, April 2, at Walls Diner in Sylvania at 6:30 p.m. With President Lee Herron presiding, they had 22 in attendance. President Lee led the Chapter in the Pledge to the U.S. Flag and the Sons of the American Revolution Pledge. He then asked Chaplain Bernard Martin to bless the meal. President Lee then asked the East Fall Line Region Vice President Dess Smith to introduce the speaker, Compatriot Bernard Martin, to present his program on "Blacksmithing in Colonial Life". President Lee then presented Buddy Parker with his SAR Certificate and rosette and inducted him into the Brier Creek Chapter. After the program, President Lee presented Bernard with a Certificate of Appreciation.
