Mr. Martin G. “Marty” Scott, 64, of Swainsboro, passed away Friday, September 15, 2023, at his residence following a brief illness. Graveside service was held Monday, September 18, at 11 a.m. at the Scott Family Cemetery with Reverend Mark Hardin officiating.
Mr. Marty was born January 20, 1959, in Swainsboro, to the late William Bernard Scott and Jeanette Logan Scott. He was very outgoing and enjoyed fishing. Marty was the jack of all trades and was naturally talented with drawing and bodywork. Mr. Scott is preceded in death by his parents; sisters, Debbie Walker and Libby Hanson; brothers, Billy Scott and Randy Scott.
Mr. Scott is survived by his son, Jason (Amber) Scott of Stillmore; brothers, Brent Fails and Grady Scott, both of Swainsboro; sisters, Brandi Phan and Kelly Scott, both of Swainsboro; several nieces, nephews, other family members and many friends.
Chapman Funeral Home of Swainsboro was in charge of arrangements.
