On Saturday, October 7, at 11 a.m., members of the Colby Smith family met at the Bethany Baptist Church four miles outside of Harrison for their 43rd reunion. In attendance were about 30 including 10 members of the Skunk Brigade, Georgia Society Sons of the American Revolution. The reunion President Dess Smith III welcomed everyone with Bernard Martin blessing the food and everyone enjoyed a great covered dish meal. President Dess then introduced Bernard Martin and Steve Burke who presented their program on "Christianity and Survival during the Revolutionary War". After a short business meeting, everyone went outside for a three-round volley by our flintlock rifles and four six-pounder cannons.
