Today we will explore life. Everyone wants to have a good, prosperous life. Now that's all well and good. But we do know that this life is set in time. That means this life has a sure expiration date which is unknown. While most of us are trying to make life comfortable here, we all have a common denominator, death. That is our way out of here.
Now since we know that we have to leave, let's first prepare for the everlasting then we can enjoy the temporary. In the everlasting there is no opportunity for change. In whatever state we are in when our time expires, that's the state we will remain in the everlasting. Revelation 22:11 tells us, "He that is holy, let him be holy still: and he that is filthy, let him be filthy still: and he that is righteous, let him be righteous still: and he that is unjust, let him be unjust still."
So there we have it. Knowing this, the word of God tells us to , " Seek you the Lord while he may be found, call upon him while he is near: Let the wicked forsake his way, and the unrighteous man his thoughts: and let him return unto the Lord, and he will have mercy upon him; and to our God, for he will abundantly pardon." (Isaiah 55:6-7) Yes, God is waiting for you to come back to him while you are still living in time. So while you still have time ( which will expire) accept the one who has made it possible for you to live in eternity with the Lord.
John 3:16 can never be expressed too much. It tells us that God loved us so much that he gave us his Son that whosoever believes in him will not perish but will have everlasting life. So Yes, prepare now to enjoy the everlasting life.
