The Kiwanis Club of Swainsboro held its weekly meeting, Tuesday night, April 4, 2023, at the Rustic Grille at 7 p.m. With President Tammy Allen presiding, there were 25 in attendance including three guests: Jonathan Cannady, Jana Lee, and Michelle Kasak. The carrot cake that was provided by Jill Briercheck and baked by Petite Garrett, was won by Gary Couse. The Domino's pizza that was donated by Domino's Pizza was won by Gary Howard.
The member spotlight for the night was Frank Patrick. Patrick is a hard-working Kiwanian who has been with the club for 36-years. He is also a United States Air Force veteran. Patrick grew up in a family of nine children. He has been married to his wife Deana for over 50 years. They have two children, one grandson, and a dog named Bo. Patrick loves vegetable gardening and watching The Price is Right. In the past, Patrick has been named Kiwanian of the Year, received a Presidential Award, and is a Governor’s Leadership Medallion winner. His sweet tooth is quenched with peach cobbler and Snickers.
