Serah Kelly, senior point guard for the Lady Tigers, recently signed a letter of intent to play college-level basketball for the East Georgia State College Bobcats. Kelly has been a varsity starter since entering high school, averaging about 16 points per game and 3-5 assists. She has been a key part of the program during her four years, which boasts two back-to-back region championship titles and three state playoff appearances, including an Elite 8 appearance that has not occurred in over 21 years.

According to Coach Alex Walden, Kelly has been a great leader on and off the court. "As a freshman, she made sure to carry her team when it was a rebuilding year. She helped mold the team into the talented program it has become. The sky is the limit for Serah, and I am so glad I've gotten to watch her grow into the young lady she is."

Theo Howard, EGSC Women’s Basketball Coach, is impressed with Serah as a person and a player. He says he "recruits for character, and she has it." In addition, he shares that he is looking forward to coaching her. “Welcome to the Bobcat family, Serah!”

A signing ceremony was held in the media center at SHS. Serah was joined by the following: Coach Walden, Cindy Brett, Coach Howard, her mother and father Delvecchio and Linda Kelly, grandparents Dennis Kelly and Eloise Kelly, brother Delvecchio Kelly, Jr, sister LaShonda Black, Pastor Cedric Carswell, SHS counselor Monica Pace, SHS Principal Brandon Andrews, and Lady Tigers' teammates.
