The next Keep Emanuel Beautiful meeting will be on Tuesday, June 20, at 5:30 p.m. in the county commission board room. At the last meeting, the group discussed planning upcoming cleaning events and completion of the Keep America Beautiful application. Thanks to George Elder and Chairman Tony Hutchinson for completing the litter survey of the county. The Keep Emanuel Beautiful mascot , "Uncle Birdy" is due to make an appearance soon. Members of the group also discussed the need for more representation from EGSC, schools, cities and the general public.
On the next agenda, items to be discussed will include:
• Affiliation tasks and committees
• Next county-wide clean up date
• Mascot status
• Update on city plans for Harmon Park pines
• Bank account establishment
• By-laws review and approval
• Treasurer report
