Ms. Karen Denise Nevers, age 56, passed away Tuesday, February 7, 2023. A Celebration of Life was held Saturday, February 18, at 1 p.m., at Jones Grove Baptist Church in Louisville. Interment followed at Louisville City Cemetery.
On May 31, 1966, a Karen was born to Edith and Aaron Bighams in Belle Glade, FL. She was raised in Belle Glade and obtained her education at Glade Central High School class of 1984. After graduation, Karen attended Palm Beach Nursing School, where she worked several years as a CNA. In 1996, she worked for Palm Beach School district as a Teacher’s Assistant. Karen decided that she wanted to move closer to her parents in 2010, where she started working for Capro and Crider as Plant Supervisor. Along with working herd, Karen enjoyed being a fashion “DIVA”, traveling, cooking, and feeding anyone that was around her. Ms. Nevers is preceded in death by her daughter, Mickisha Smith; grandparents, Mammie Mack, Charlie Lambry, Lena Bighams, and Amos Bighams; uncle, JD Lambry, John Lambry, Leroy Lambry, Sanka Mack, Eugene “Bobbie “Mack, Jerome Bryant, and Willie C. Bryant; aunts, Lena Mae Floyd, Bethene Hills, Dorothy Mack, Magnolia “Rose” Mack, Mary Mack, Lillie Thomas, Hazel Gibbons Bryant, and Emma Lou Cuyler; and nephew, Willie G. Noble.
