Just one week

Posted

While most people are remembering this week as a reminder of what Jesus suffered, few people's actions show they actually take it to heart. Their actions or behavior doesn’t reflect that they received what Jesus did. Jesus showed his love for us by the things he suffered. When you receive Christ as your Lord and Savior, you receive his love. This is the love we should give to others.

Now Galatians 5:22-24 says it this way. “But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, meekness, temperance...And they that are Christ's have crucified the flesh with the affections and lusts. If we live in the Spirit, let us also walk in the Spirit.” (Read Romans 6:6 and Galatians 2:20)

Jesus took a week of beatings, false accusations, piercings, shame, suffering. rejection, being deserted, loneliness, and death on the cross. It all came from the people he had served. This was his week of passion; this was his week of love.

If you have accepted Christ, will you reflect the fruit of the Spirit for one week? Yes, just one week of love. Someone will notice. Someone's life will be changed. Your life will change from just one week of love. Let the world know that Jesus is risen in you. “Just one week” makes a difference. Just one week did.
