Jogresan Mortuary announces the death of Rev. Dr. Johnny James Smith, age 72, on Tuesday, September 19, 2023. A Homegoing service will be held Saturday, Sept. 30, at 11 a.m. at Piney Grove Missionary Baptist Church in the Cross-Green Community with Rev. Michael Thomas officiating. Interment will follow at Green Cemetery in Midville. A public viewing will be held Friday, Sept. 29, from 12 to 6:30 p.m. at Jogresan Mortuary, Inc. in Wadley.
