On Saturday, February 21, 2026, John Willie Turner, age 67, departed this life unexpectedly. A Celebration of Life was held Saturday, February 28, at 11 a.m. at Gethsemane Baptist Church with Pastor Wallace Turner officiating and Elder George Turner presiding.
John was born December 17, 1958, to the late Willie and Beatrice Turner. He attended the Emanuel County School System and worked at Swainsboro Print Works until the business closed. John then became unemployed as an awesome brick mason and painter. Mr. Turner is preceded in death by his parents; and brother, Vernon Turner.
Mr. Turner leaves to cherish his memories with a special and devoted companion, Brenda Davis of Cross-Green Community; sisters, Mary (George) Edwards of Twin City and Mary Ellen (Pastor Phillip) Ceasar of Lexsy; brothers, Eddie Turner of Daytona Beach, FL, Deacon Robert (Donnette) Turner of Lexsy, Pastor Wallace (Lillie) Turner of Twin City, Elder George (Pam) Turner of Fayetteville, NC, Sammy (Veronica) Turner of Nunez, Deacon David (Tomika) Turner of Ailey and Deacon Aaron (Lisa) Turner of Vidalia; and a host of nephews, nieces, other relatives and friends.
Mosley’s Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
