Mrs. Jo Ann Grube, 83, of Canoochee, passed away Friday, December 22, 2023, at her residence. Funeral services were held Tuesday, December 26, at 1 p.m. in the chapel of Tomlinson Funeral Home with Reverend Louis Pearce officiating. Interment followed in Eastbrook Cemetery. Family received friends at Tomlinson Funeral Home Tuesday, December 26, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.
Pallbearers were Jamie O'Dell, Dwayne Hopkins, Dane Braswell, Jeff Braswell, Jason Wiley, Keith Hopkins and Brandon Lynch. Honorary pallbearers were Gideons.
Jo Ann was born in Emanuel County to the late Vernon and Adrice Cooper Braswell. She had worked as a hairdresser for over 20 years and had retired from the Magistrate Court. Jo Ann was a member of the Canoochee Baptist Church and the Ladies Auxiliary of the Gideons.
Survivors include her husband, Richard E. Grube of Canoochee; daughter, Penny Parrish of Vidalia; two grandsons-, Trey Chalkley of Swainsboro and Blake Chalkley of Vidalia; two stepdaughters, Linda Anderson (Allen) of Blackshear and Brenda Bruner (Bobby) of Springfield; brother, Wayne Braswell of Swainsboro; sisters, Gail Smallwood of Stilson and Janette (Butch) Simmons of Metter.

Tomlinson Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
