Mr. Jermaine Jackson, age 36, passed away Tuesday, September 12, 2023. Funeral service was held Sunday, September 17, at 2:30 p.m. at the Swainsboro City Auditorium. The family received friends Sunday, September 17, from 11 a.m. until 2 p.m. at Swainsboro City Auditorium. Interment followed in the Mt. Gilead Missionary Baptist Church Cemetery.

Mr. Jermaine Jackson, son of Howard Gillis, Otis L. Williams, Jr. and Josephine “Mary” Gadson Jackson, was born on October 25, 1986, in Swainsboro. He was a 2005 graduate of Swainsboro High School. After graduation, Jermaine received his diploma in Commercial Truck Driving from Utah and drove log trucks until his death. He enjoyed fishing, cooking out with family and friends, going to the racetracks, and being an overall comedian. Mr. Jackson is preceded in death by his fathers; aunt, Carolyn Boatright; two uncles, Jessie Gadson and Robert Jones.

Mr. Jackson leaves a lifetime of memories with his mother; daughter, Little Miss Jazlyn J. Jackson of Swainsboro; the mother of his only child, Felicia Alexander of Swainsboro; four brothers, Andra Jackson, Dea. John E. Parker, Mitchell Silas and Randy Drummer, all of Swainsboro; three sisters, Keisha Silas, Delilah Silas and Shandy Silas, all of Swainsboro; four aunts, Robertha Gadson, Karen G. Young, Shirley A. Gillis, all of Swainsboro and Earnestine G. Reese of Millen; three uncles, Joseph Gadson, Verlon (Willie Ruth) Gillis and Vernon (Martha Ann) Gillis, all of Swainsboro; six nieces, Ashondra Jackson, Eshanti Silas, Aubrey Broadwater, Nijah Silas, all of Swainsboro, Danielle Carter and Brayla Jones, both of Augusta; five nephews, Deandra Jackson, Kamori Smith, Eric Worthen Jr., Richard Parrish Jr. and Randy Coleman Jr., all of Swainsboro; and a host of cousins, other relatives and sorrowing friends.

Chapman Funeral Home of Swainsboro was in charge of arrangements.
