A great queen was called to her kingdom by her heavenly father and was reunited with her Daddy and beloved son. Mrs. Janet Marrone Page, age 70, of Swainsboro, passed away peacefully at her home on Saturday, September 23, 2023, surrounded by her loving family and beloved dogs. A Memorial Service was held Tuesday, September 26, at 5 p.m. at Mt. Shady Baptist Church in Swainsboro with Reverend Rusty Moore officiating. The family received friends from 4 to 5 p.m. prior to the service at the church.

Mrs. Page was born June 18, 1953, in Memphis, TN, to the late Harold and Eva Edmiston Marrone. Janet graduated in 1971 from Warner Robins High School. She got a degree in education from Georgia Southern University, then later in life she completed her master’s in education. Mrs. Janet taught 6th grade Language Arts at Swainsboro Middle School from 1987 to 2012, before she retired. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and friend. Janet was a member of the Mt. Shady Baptist Church. Mrs. Page will be dearly missed by many whose lives she touched through love, life, and gifts of teaching. The blessings of being an educator, choose to educate and mold young minds for a brighter future. Mrs. Page is preceded in death by her parents; and son, Christopher J. Scott.

Mrs. Page is survived by her loving husband of 34 years, Steve Page of Swainsboro; daughters, Angel Scott of Swainsboro and Stephanie (Aaron) Page of Rentz; brother, Jim (Debbie) Marrone of Warner Robins; special sister, Catherine Page of Metter; grandchildren, Elliott (Elena) Clark of Millen and Lizzy Clark of Swainsboro; great-grandson, Xander Clark of Millen; and a host of other family members and friends.

Chapman Funeral Home of Swainsboro was in charge of arrangements.
