James Larry Sapp, age 68, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, February 24, 2026. A Celebration of Life was held Sunday, March 1, at 2 p.m. at Mercer Grove Baptist Church with Rev. Joel Davis officiating and Rev. Melvin Adams presiding.
Larry was born December 27, 1957, in Bulloch County, to the late Jim and Doris Sapp. He dedicated 24 years to his career as a team lead (only missing three days). Larry took pride in hard work and was known for his integrity, generosity and willingness to lend a helping hand. He enjoyed fast cars, playing cards and checkers. Larry’s laughter, wisdom and steady presence will be dearly missed. Mr. Sapp is preceded in death by his parents; loving wife, Minthia Sapp; one brother; and two sisters.
Mr. Sapp is survived by his sons, Chrisopher Sapp, James Larry Sapp, Jr.; daughter, Shalia Bulloch; 10 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; brothers, Rev. Levis Sapp (Shirley) of Twin City and Willie James Sapp (Janie) of Millen; sisters, Ella Lane of Portal, Mozelle Moseley of Twin City, Bertha Brown of Wadley, Jennie Newkirt (Virgil) of Millen, Irene Walker (Calvin) of Metter, Sherry Britt (Stacey) of Augusta and Gladys Gibbons (Lonnie) of Swainsboro.
Mosley’s Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
