The Swainsboro-Emanuel County Festival Foundation is excited to announce that planning is underway for the 76th Annual Pine Tree Festival. The Rhythm & Pines Music Festival will be on Friday, May 5th, and will feature the Party Band of the South – the Swingin’ Medallions. Other acts will include Sam’s Drive-In Band, Perpetual Motion Band, Rhett Blount & Friends, and the Gospel Stage. The Pine Tree Festival will kick off on Saturday, May 6th, with the Grand Parade at 10:30 AM. The festival foundation wants to encourage parade participants to enter a float in this year’s parade. There will be cash prizes for float competition winners. Parade applications are now available at pinetreefestival.org. We also hope to have a unique variety of arts & craft and food vendors at this year’s event. Vendor applications are also available now at pinetreefestival.org.

Some great entertainment has been lined up, and this year’s main event will be the Flippin’ Out trampoline stunt show. Other entertainment will include the GSU Wildlife Show, chainsaw carving, axe throwing, the Kids Zone, and more! As always, we will have the Knotty Pine 5K the morning of the festival as well as the Pine Tree Festival Car Show. Knotty Pine applications are available on pinetreefestival.org. Back by popular demand, the Ultimate Bullfighters Party in the Pines will be held at the Georgia Sports Arena May 5th and 6th. There will be many other festival events leading up to Rhythm & Pines and the 76th Annual Pine Tree Festival. Some of those include the Pine Tree Festival Pageants on April 29th, the Pine Tree 100 at Swainsboro Raceway on April 29th, and FFA Forestry Field Day on Thursday, May 4th, at the Swainsboro-Emanuel County Recreation Department. Pageant applications are available at pinetreefestival.org. We will also have the Pine Tree Festival Flower Show and Pine Tree Festival Tennis Tournament. More details will be released as they become available, so check the festival website and Facebook page for all things festival-related!
