At the regular meeting of the Swainsboro Exchange Club held on March 10, club member Tripp Fitzner introduced guest speaker Rocky Davis, Chief Investigator for the District Attorney’s Office.

Chief Investigator Davis provided members with a brief overview of the duties and responsibilities carried out by the team of investigators who serve the District Attorney’s Office.

During his presentation, Davis discussed a recent investigation that gained national recognition from U.S. Attorney General Pam Bondi. He explained that the case was the result of a multi-agency effort involving local, state, and federal law enforcement.

Through the collaboration of these agencies, five individuals were arrested and are now facing various federal charges related to the exploitation of children in our area. Davis emphasized that the cooperation among the agencies was critical to the swift success of this investigation.

District Attorney Tripp Fitzner added that the assistance received from other community partners, such as the Emanuel County Board of Education and The Sunshine House, was also vital to the success of this case.

Members of the Swainsboro Exchange Club expressed their appreciation to Chief Investigator Davis and the many agencies and community partners whose efforts help protect children and keep the community safe.
