The older generation would remember the era of the 1930s when depression was rampant and yet, some good came at the end of that century. The Frank Mitchell family built a hotel in Swainsboro, the John C. Coleman. The Emanuel County Historic Society will feature this event as their program at their January 27 meeting at the Varner 4-H Center and invites the public to come. The meeting starts at 7 p.m. with a potluck dinner and a brief meeting before the program. Please call 478-763-3631 for more information. Masks are not required.
