Mrs. Helen Coleman Womack, age 79, entered into rest January 9, 2023. Funeral services were held Thursday, January 12, at 2 p.m. from the chapel of Tomlinson Funeral Home with Reverend Franklin Sasser officiating. The family received friends Thursday, January 12, one hour prior to the funeral at Tomlinson Funeral Home. The family had a private interment following the service.
Pallbearers were Adam Reeves, Cody Cavanah, Billy Cavanah, Dennis Durden, Justin Allen and Ridge Allen.
Mrs. Womack was born June 24, 1944, in Twin City, to the late William Thomas "WT" Coleman and Susie Loretta Coleman. Helen faithfully attended Hebron Primitive Baptist Church in Garfield for many years. She retired from the Emanuel County School system after working in the Swainsboro High School Cafeteria for many years. Helen was a resident of Emanuel County Nursing Home. Mrs. Womack is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Huel Arlis Womack; and brother, Kenneth Coleman.
Left to cherish the memories of Mrs. Womack are her son, Arlis Matthew Womack; the love of her life, her granddaughter, Zoey Maria Womack; brother, David Coleman (Wanda) and Megan; sister, Betty Coleman; Dennis Durden and family, Ellen Allen (Ray) and all the Allen family, the Cavanah family, Martha Reeves (Grover) and all the Reeves family; God granddaughter, Christian Lee Jones; sister-in-law, Versie Coleman; many extended family members, Jimmy Womack (Diane), Donald Womack (Louise), Larry Womack (Linda), and Mrs. Brenda Clements; special friends at Emanuel County Nursing Home and Pruitt Health Hospice.
In Lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Pruitt Health Hospice Care, 667 South Main Street, Swainsboro, Georgia, 30401 in memory of Mrs. Helen Coleman Womack.
