Thanksgiving is a day to praise and thank God for our many blessings, and a day when families and friends gather to express gratitude for the year’s blessings over a shared feast. It is always observed on the fourth Thursday in November; therefore, Thanksgiving will be celebrated tomorrow, November 27.
Zane Chalker, 7-year-old, 2nd grade student at Swainsboro Elementary School and Madison Buxton, 7-year-old, 2nd grade student at Johnson County Elementary School, enjoyed their Thanksgiving by pulling the wishbone and making a wish. They pull it apart until it snaps, and whichever one is left holding the larger side of the wishbone is said to have their wish granted.
The Forest-Blade will be closed Thursday and Friday, November 27 and 28, in observance of Thanksgiving. We hope everyone has a safe and wonderful Thanksgiving!
